Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales revenue, increasing member count conducting sales training, promoting, and ensuring excellent customer service as well as motivating and teaching team members to achieve daily sales goals.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

Increase Site level Sales:

  • Ensure all team members are well-versed and knowledgeable on how to successfully offer car wash package offerings, discuss pricing, and sell the benefits of the unlimited wash club membership
  • Work with management to set daily, weekly and monthly Unlimited Wash Club (UWC) goals and ensure those goals are met or exceeded by team members
  • Achieve quarterly and annual goals
  • Update KPI board daily
  • Manage placement of team members at pay station appropriately
  • Interview interested candidates to evaluate sales skills
  • Meet with Manager once per week to discuss overall team member sales performance
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings with Site Manager or General Manager

Sales Coach and Trainer:

  • Conduct ongoing sales training with team members to ensure the pitch stays fresh and relevant course correct when necessary
  • Coach and train team members on promotional events and teach how to communicate efficiently and effectively to customers
  • Teach how to suggestive sell a wash, teach ice breakers and how to use them
  • Teaching the importance of explaining the recharge to a customer
  • Identify trouble points in the sales pitch and change up as necessary
  • Coach team members on how to overcome customer objectives
  • Motivate and inspire to sell throughout the day
  • Create team motivating games and contests to insure a positive attitude in the sales lanes.

Customer Service Champion:

  • Ensure each customer visit is a joyful experience to encourage return visits
  • Offer friendly greeting to each customer
  • Minimize wait times
  • Promptly address customer complaints
  • Display a positive attitude with customer and team members
  • Greet and beat every customer at the pay station, wave hello and goodbye to exiting customers
  • Understand overall wash operations to effectively answer customer questions
  • Ensure team members are checking truck beds and looking for hitches and previous damage and calling out retracts to the guide on associates.

  • Ability to sell memberships and teach other team members how to offer memberships to new customers

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ year sales experience in retail or similar environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and select holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Working in non-climate-controlled environments, being outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Frequent walking, standing, and ability to being on your feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Physical mobility to include reaching, grabbing, stretching, squatting
  • Working with loud mechanical equipment for long periods of time
