The Asset & Systems Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of company property and physical assets. This role oversees the management of corporate equipment, installation, and maintenance of Company issued laptops, iPads as well as specific site hardware.  This position also manages sites access control, keys, cores, alarm, remote CC/TV, and specific third-party vendor relationships.  This position collaborates with internal teams and external partners to develop and enforce protocols that minimize risk and support site operations. Compensation for this position is between $30 - $35/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


1. Security Systems & Equipment Management:

  • Oversee company-issued hardware, including laptops, iPads, store hardware, CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control devices.
  • Maintain inventory control and track hardware serial numbers, licensing, and user access for all field devices.
  • Manage user creation/deletion in hardware systems, ensuring proper access permissions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain corporate office equipment, assist office staff with connectivity concerns and troubleshoot connectivity issues

2. Surveillance & Access Control:

  • Administer and maintain remote CCTV systems, reviewing footage and identifying potential security breaches.
  • Manage the Key & Core program/Insta-Key access control system, ensuring stores and facilities have appropriate key access.
  • Oversee intrusion detection, burglar/fire alarms, and emergency response systems, ensuring timely maintenance and functionality.
  • Coordinate with vendors for installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting of hardware equipment.

3. Risk Management & Security Audits:

  • Conduct physical security assessments at corporate offices, warehouses, and retail site locations to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze security data and trends to detect fraud, theft, or operational inefficiencies.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, including security system logs, incident reports, and audit findings.

4. Incident Response & Loss Prevention:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for security incidents, equipment failures, and emergency situations.
  • Investigate loss prevention issues, unauthorized access, and potential system breaches.
  • Manage site incident reports through the Woven system and coordinate follow-ups.
  • Partner with Corporate Leadership, Field Teams, and Regional Technology Managers on critical technology issues.

5. Security Policy Development & Training:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain physical security policies and procedures to protect facilities, assets, and personnel.
  • Conduct risk awareness training for employees and contractors to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Provide guidance on proper usage and management of security equipment and IT security protocols.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Skills and qualifications that assist in efficiently completing this job include:

  • Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    • 2+ years in IT/Technology, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Retail Operations.
    • Experience managing various computer hardware systems, access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
    • Familiarity with multiple security information systems and risk management practices.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Knowledge of security hardware/software systems, including access control and surveillance technology.
    • Ability to analyze security data and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong ethics, integrity, and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple security projects
    • Ability to present information to various groups ranging from line staff to corporate executives

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. for equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Office and field-based work environment, requiring travel to company locations (approximately 10% travel).
