The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for overseeing and expanding Domo data visualization within the Finance Department. This specialized BI role focuses on designing and optimizing data structures, curating and managing multiple data sources, and delivering powerful reports and dashboards that enable accurate budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic decision-making. This individual must be a hands-on, technically-minded builder with expert Domo skills and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, build-out, and continuous enhancement of the Domo BI platform to serve as the central reporting and analytics environment for the Finance Department
  • Design, optimize, and maintain robust data from diverse sources, including ERP systems, accounting platforms, financial planning tools, HRIS, CRM, spreadsheets, APIs, and data warehouses
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, and security through rigorous validation, reconciliation, and governance standards
  • Build and maintain advanced, interactive dashboards and reports covering financial performance, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, headcount, profitability, KPIs, driver-based forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Automate recurring reporting processes and enable self-service analytics to reduce manual effort and accelerate insight delivery
  • Partner with Finance leadership, analysts, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into high-impact BI solutions
  • Provide training, enablement, and ongoing support to Finance users on Domo best practices and self-service capabilities
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements
  • Stay current with Domo features, releases, and industry best practices in financial business intelligence

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–6 years of hands-on BI experience building and scaling solutions in Domo (Dataflows, Magic ETL, Beast Mode, App Studio, and governance)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, data science, information systems, computer science, or a related quantitative field
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated success delivering complex financial or operational BI solutions in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, data visualization, and data storytelling skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for the benefit of non-technical Finance stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting/forecasting processes, variance analysis, and key business drivers
  • Strong experience with SQL, data architecture/modeling (star schema), and ETL/ELT processes
  • Domo certifications (Certified Developer, Architect, etc.) a big plus
  • Experience with common finance systems (NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, etc.) a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with additional BI tools (Power BI, tableau) a plus
